Pamela Hooper

Pam joined our team as a Medicaid Specialist Paralegal in January 2025. With over 35 years of local government experience dedicated to serving the community. Before joining our firm, she began her career with Jackson County Department of Social Services in September 1990 until retirement in June 2023. During that time, she worked in Adult Medicaid Programs for the Aged and Disabled, Food and Nutrition Services, Emergency Assistance, and Program Integrity Investigations. She spent most of her career working in programs she was most passionate about: Long- Term Care, Special Assistance, and the Community Alternatives Program. After retirement she contracted for Buncombe County Department of Social Services for 1 ½ years establishing eligibility for grant funded programs including Helene Recovery.

Pam enjoys spending time with her husband and their dog (child), family and friends, reading, traveling, decorating and baking during the Christmas holidays.
